Tulips on The Magnificent Mile

The 2nd Annual Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival presented by MasterCard will take place August 24 - September 6, 2012. The shopping extravaganza will feature designer and celebrity appearances, culinary events, concerts, fashion shows, exclusive offers, sweepstakes and more!
In-Fashion reinforces The Magnificent Mile’s reputation as a shopping mecca with large-scale celebrations and district-wide, in-store promotions. The event cuts across five primary categories of fashion and beauty, lifestyle, culinary, technology and culture. The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival presented by BMO Harris Bank
November 17
Dubbed the nation’s largest evening holiday event, the 20th Annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival presented by BMO Harris Bank will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2012. A full day of festivities include family-friendly activities in Lights Festival Lane, live entertainment from top artists in Pioneer Court on the BMO Harris Bank Stage and tons of holiday shopping throughout the district.
The highly anticipated lighting procession, led by Grand Marshals Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, steps onto the Avenue at 5:30pm and features a host of Disney friends, more than 30 floats, giant balloons, exciting marching bands, celebrities, musical performers and, of course, Santa. More than one million lights on 200 trees along The Magnificent Mile will be illuminated this magical evening. The procession culminates with a spectacular fireworks display along the Chicago River.
