Tulip and Trumpets: A Mile Full of Jazz
As winter fades, The Magnificent Mile begins its seasonal transformation, welcoming spring with a vibrant display of color, sound, and energy. Each year, Michigan Avenue becomes a floral landscape, where 100,000 tulips line the streets, signaling renewal and the unmistakable spirit of Chicago.
This year, the season unfolds as Tulips and Trumpets on The Magnificent Mile, A Mile Full of Jazz.
Tulips and jazz come together in a district-wide celebration of spring. As the avenue comes into bloom, free public jazz performances take shape throughout the district, creating moments of discovery at every turn. Programmed by the Chicago Federation of Musicians, performances introduce a new rhythm to the season.
Throughout the month, performances build toward UNESCO International Jazz Day, shaping the season across the Avenue.
