Winter Wonder in the City
The Windy City is in all of her glory this winter so don’t miss a minute of the action. Embrace your inner snow bunny and think of winter as an additional opportunity to accessorize.
Make it a weekend at the Fairmont Chicago with our Weekend Escape package, Buy Two Nights and Get the Third Night Free.
Not in the mood to bundle up? We are smitten for sweets this holiday season with Cookie Cocktails in THE BAR and Beer and Biscuit pairings at Columbus Tap. Looking for a low calorie option? Try our Cinnamon & Sugar Seasonal Treatments in mySpa.
When it comes to the holidays the Windy City is second to none. From a tree that rivals skyscrapers to millions of lights on The Magnificent Mile and at the Lincoln Park Zoo, the season just got a little brighter.
Don’t forget to add a classic Chicago holiday experience to your ‘Must See’ list this year: The Goodman’s A Christmas Carole, The Joffrey’s The Nutcracker, Apollo Chorus’ Messiah and the Chicago Symphony’s Merry, Merry. Experience the traditions from other cultures at the Christkindlmarket or at Christmas Around the World at the Museum of Science & Industry.
Don’t hibernate just yet. Whether you are training for the next Olympics for Ice Dancing or just hoping not to fall, taking a few laps around one of the dozens of rinks in the area is sure to bring a rosy glow to your cheeks.
For the Traditionalist: Take a spin around the McCormick-Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park with the Chicago Christmas Tree and The Bean for inspiration.
For the Kid in You: Glide around one of Chicago’s newest rinks, the Ice Ribbon in Maggie Daley Park.
For those Looking for More: After you twirl around the indoor ice rink at Winter Wonder Fest at Navy Pier, check out the rides, slides and more.
Museums & Theater
So much to do and so little time this winter. From some of our favorite exhibits: "Underwater Beauty" at the Shedd Aquarium, "Arctic Dinosaurs" at the Field Museum, and "Harry Who?" at The Art Institute. To the stage: Hamilton at the Private Bank Theatre, Book of Mormon and The Play that Goes Wrong at the Oriental Theatre. As well as great performances by some of our favorite companies: Lyric Opera, Hubbard Street Dance Company, Chicago Sinfonietta, and Music of the Baroque. This season, embrace your creative soul in Chicago.
