Learn more about the life of Juana of Castile, also known as “the mad queen of Spain,” through readings from the collection "Juana I," written by Ana Arzoumanian and translated by Gabriel Amor.

A celebrated poet, professor, critic, and former member of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Arzoumanian collaborated on the documentary A Dialogue Without Borders. Amor, a recipient of a 2016 PEN/Heim Translation Fund grant, was a producer on the Emmy-nominated documentary The Woman Who Wasn’t There.
