Shedd Aquarium offers free admission to all Illinois residents on select days from September to December!
With a valid proof of ID, Illinois residents can enjoy free admission to the Shedd Aquarium on select days until the end of the year. Admission includes access to the entire aquarium and all of their current exhibits, chats, and presentations. Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, The Shedd Aquarium offers up close views of your favorite animals, from beluga whales to penguins. Being one of the most visited aquariums in the U.S., it can get quite busy. Be sure to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds and to spend more time learning and observing. Illinois Free Day tickets are offered Mondays-Wednesdays from September until December. Additionally, a $3-per-order transaction fee applies to Illinois Free Day tickets reserved online.
