Earth Day is April 22, and several Chicago parks and neighborhoods need volunteers for cleanup events on Saturday, April 22 and Saturday, April 29.  

Seneca Park/Eli M. Schulman Playground & Lake Short Park and Gardens: April 22, starting at 9am

This event is a great way to team up and cleanup areas in the Parks, gardens, playgrounds and neighborhood. Gloves, brooms, rakes, shovels and bags needed for cleanup projects will be provided. All ages are welcome. Students can earn Community Service Credit.

Where: Seneca Park/Eli M Schulman Playground & Lake Shore Park and Gardens Start:

Event starts at 9:00 AM, Meet earlier at the historic Engine 98 Firehouse at 202 E. Chicago Ave to check-in and grab a Breakfast snack and receive an assignment. If you arrive later, check-in will be at Lake Shore Park on the West side of the Fieldhouse (808 N. Lake Shore Drive).

Finish: At 12:00PM we will finish the morning with a Pizza lunch at the Lake Shore Park Fieldhouse sponsored by Alderman Brian Hopkins; 2nd Ward. Register at: bit.ly/2023EarthDay

South Streeterville CleanUp: April 29, starting at 9am

Join SOAR and Streeterville neighbors to pitch in and give Streeterville a spring clean up.
