MCA Prime Time

Price — $15.00 – $20.00

Sat 19 Nov 2016

MCA Prime Time is a late night event that taps into the creative pulse of Chicago with a dynamic mix of live music, performance art, and interactive programs.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents MCA Prime Time, the late night event that taps into the creative pulse of Chicago with a dynamic mix of live music, performance art, and interactive programs.

The evening features three headliners: Noname, who blurs the lines between poetry and rap; Jamila Woods, whose music is rooted in soul and hip hop; and RP Boo, whose DJ sets are heralded as launching the Footwork dance style. Prime Time, presented in partnership with local indie tastemaker Pitchfork, takes place Saturday, November 19, from 7-11 pm at the MCA.

To complement each of the headline sets, locally produced art activations by artists-such as DJ Audio Jack of Slo 'Mo Party-take place across the museum. Each of these projects explores the evening's theme of "Ascend," with projects about growth, renewal, ritual, and harmony. Pop-up food and drink are also available for purchase.
