Whether you’re as swift as a gazelle or prefer a slower pace like a tortoise, you can take part in Brookfield Zoo’s annual 5K ZooRunRun for the Conservation Fund
Brookfield ZooRunRun returns on September 10, 2017! Each year more species lose their race for survival and disappear from the wild, but you can help! The Chicago Zoological Society Animal Care and Conservation Fund is dedicated to making a difference for these species across the globe and with each race entry, we will raise both awareness and funds for this great cause.
Run individually, with your friends, or team up race against family members, teammates and colleagues. Each participant receives a self wicking shirt, a bib containing a timing chip and snacks and beverages!
New this year, kids can join in on the fun with a 1-mile Kids’ Dash. The event, presented by Aquafina and Gatorade and sponsored by DuPage Medical Group, is set entirely within Brookfield Zoo and benefits endangered species. Participants glide past lemurs and ravens, soar by condors and bald eagles, thunder by bison, gallop past giraffes, and roar across the finish line with lions, tigers, and snow leopards. All participants receive free admission to the zoo all day, moisture-wicking T-shirts, and timed bibs for their journey.
