The four-course dinner series features the city’s top female talent on Thursday evenings, beginning with Mana Food Bar Chef Jill Barron.
To launch the restaurant’s brand-new “Leading Ladies of the Kitchen” dinner series with a roster of all-star talent, on Thursday, July 26, Travelle Kitchen + Bar welcomes Chef Jill Barron from Mana Food Bar, a meatless small plates restaurant,to create a one-night-only, family-style dinner. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour meet-and-greet, giving diners the chance to mingle with Chef Jill and sip libations.
Following the cocktail hour, the four-course, family-style dinner continues with guests seated at communal tables in Travelle’s elegant wine cellar to experience Chef Jill working in the glass-enclosed show kitchen. The meal commences at 7 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres from Travelle and two signature dishes from Chef Jill. The meal concludes with dessert from Travelle Pastry Sous Chef Danielle Marelli
The cost of the dinner will be $65 per person, and ten percent of the night’s proceeds will go to the charity of Jill’s choice, The Greater Chicago Food Depository.
