Heid E. Erdrich is the author of five collections of poetry including the new Curator of Ephemera at the New Museum for Archaic Media from Michigan State University Press. Heid grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota and is Ojibwe enrolled at Turtle Mountain. Her recent non-fiction work is Original Local: Indigenous Foods, Stories and Recipes. Heid’s writing has won numerous awards as have her collaborative poem films, which you can see on her Vimeo channel. Her virtual gallery is www.agencyapophany.com. She teaches in the low-residency MFA Creative Writing program of Augsburg College.This event begins at 5:00pm in Readers Hall. It is open to the general public, and is free with museum admission or $5 suggested donation to the event. Books will be sold at AWM before and after the event.
