Navy Pier Honors Hispanic Heritage Month with Raiz Viva: A Special Celebration of the Hispanic Culture. Festivities to include live performances, art exhibits, crafts for kids and more along Navy Pier’s Wave Wall.

In a collaboration with Pachanka Music Culture, Navy Pier is proud to host a free, public event that celebrates Hispanic Heritage – Raiz Viva. This mini-festival will showcase live music and dance, spoken word and theatre performances, kids’ art workshops, and artists and vendors from Chicago’s vibrant and diverse Spanish-speaking community.Navy Pier honors Hispanic Heritage Month with Raiz Viva, a special celebration of the Hispanic culture. Featured entertainment includes performances by Sones de Mexico, Laura Crotte, Charangueo, Danza Azteca Mexica Nahui Ollin, The Ponderers and MC Luis Tubens – a.k.a Logan Lu, plus art exhibit and live art by Victor M. Montañez.Members of the general public and the Chicago community are invited to attend and participate in this free event, presented by Navy Pier and the Pachanka Music Culture. Monday, October 10, 2016 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
