Poetry & Place: Nora Wendl

Nora Wendl, architect, educator, and Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico, will read from her upcoming biography on Farnsworth.

Although Edith Farnsworth is the patron of one of the 20th century’s most celebrated buildings—the Farnsworth House designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in Plano, Illinois—much less is known about her work as translator after she sold the house to live in Italy. Nora Wendl, architect, educator, and Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico, will read from her upcoming biography on Farnsworth.

Cosponsored with Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago, IIT College of Architecture, Mies Society (IIT), Farnsworth House (National Trust for Historic Preservation), The Newberry Library.
