Marisol is the new restaurant and bar at the MCA featuring innovative flavors from Chicago chef Jason Hammel. Marisol can be your neighborhood coffee spot, or an art-filled destination for dinner and drinks.
The MCA's new restaurant, Marisol, welcomes Magnificent Mile Members to enjoy a free drip coffee with purchase of a pastry. Enjoy both onsite or to go, and simply mention this webpage upon checkout. Valid Feb 1 - Mar 15 at Marisol's counter side (not in dining room).
Built upon a twenty-year relationship with Midwestern farmers, chef Hammel’s menu incorporates vibrant vegetables and handmade pastas, alongside meticulously sourced meat and seafood. Lunch offerings include lighter plates of vegetables and sandwiches, full-bodied entrees, and signature sweets. Hammel has created a playfully designed menu that varies with the seasons, filled with imaginative, thoughtful, and contemporary flavors inspired by the artistic surroundings that fuel the mind, body, and soul. The menus reflect not only the seasonal availability of local ingredients, but the creative open environment of the restaurant and the museum. Surrounded by an immersive art environment by artist Chris Ofili, diners enjoy table service with a full bar and private dining space. Additionally, counter service is available at 8am serving Metric coffee, cafe like bites, and pastries with communal tables that form the Street, a community work space to plug in or meet friends. This intimate experience allows the visitors to contemplate and be comfortable in the middle of Chicago’s bustling downtown. Marisol is located on the first floor of the museum, so diners can feel free to stroll in from street level then head upstairs to experience the latest the MCA has to offer.
