Find the Best for Less – Most Art Priced Below $100!

Immerse yourself in great art at great prices at the Highwood Starving Artists Show taking place in Highwood on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th from 10 am to 5 pm each day. The show, which is in a new location this year, takes place on Green Bay Road starting in front of Froggy’s French Café (306 Green Bay Road) and continuing to the Highwood Recreation Center (428 Green Bay Road).

With over 100 juried artists from around the world, in a variety of mediums, this unique art festival, presented by Amdur Productions, offers original works from masters in the field at incredibly discounted, end-of-season prices. Most of the artwork available for sale at the festival is priced at $100 or less.

For art lovers on a budget or for those looking for art bargains, this is one festival not to miss! Many of the acclaimed artists who participate in Amdur Productions’ festivals throughout the season return for this event to showcase and sell the remainder of their inventory at heavily discounted prices. Those attending will find everything from jewelry, glass, and paintings to ceramics, sculpture, fine art and more. Throughout the 2-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with artists through live art demonstrations and booth chats.

For the young festival goers, there is an area just for them where they can participate in “Draw for the Troops,” a new program launched by Amdur Productions this year. Kids of all ages are invited to color a special picture for the brave men and women serving our country. At the end of the show, the drawings will be sent to the troops stationed in the U.S. and abroad. Other activities for kids include art fest bingo, coloring, spin art and a graffiti wall; making the Highwood Starving Artists Show a destination for art enthusiasts of all ages!

In addition to great art at great prices, the Highwood Starving Artists Show features food from neighboring restaurants. There will also be live music adding to the experience of this free outdoor art show.

Amdur Productions is pleased to announce that the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois is the charity chosen for this festival’s Green Ribbon Project. Participating artists will be placing a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth. If the piece is sold during the Highwood Starving Artists Show, then the artist will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois.
