Loews Chicago Hotel Announces Its Third Annual Harvest Fest Celebration
Loews Chicago Hotel announces its third annual Harvest Fest, which will take place on Saturday, October 14. The hotel’s rooftop terrace, Streeterville Social, transforms into a fall pumpkin patch and biergärten to celebrate the autumn season.
With music and family-friendly activities, Harvest Fest offers fun for both children and children at heart. Harvest Fest includes complimentary carnival games and face painting, as well as caricature and balloon artists, who will provide hours of fun. There will be adult friendly games, too, with prizes from food and drinks to a chance to win an overnight stay at Loews Chicago Hotel.
The pumpkin patch will have pumpkins of various sizes available for patrons to take home and decorate. Every pumpkin is $10 (any size) and all pumpkin proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.
Loews Chicago Hotel Executive Chef Kevin Atkinson and his culinary team will be grilling fall favorites to keep attendees satiated throughout the day. The menu will include Salted Warm Pretzels with apple butter dip, Smoked Beef Short Rib Chili with grilled cornbread, Kid’s Shells ‘N Cheese with cheddar sauce, Classic All-Beef Hot Dog served on a poppy seed bun and Chicago-style toppings on the side, Grilled Bacon Cheddar Brat with kraut and beer mustard on a New England roll, and Warm Cider Doughnuts with cinnamon sugar. For kids at heart who are over 21 years of age, the biergärten will have plenty of brews to sip on a crisp, autumn day.
Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (rain or shine) at Loews Chicago Hotel. Admission to Harvest Fest is free. Games and activities are complimentary. Food and beverages are available to purchase. Pumpkins are available to purchase with all proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities.
