Gene & Georgetti is Chicago’s original and finest steakhouse, celebrating 80 years of proudly serving guests with award-winning hospitality and a dedication to culinary excellence. Spanning three generations, Gene & Georgetti continues to be family owned and operated since Gene Michelotti and his partner Alfredo “Georgetti” Federighi opened its doors in 1941. The restaurant is now run by proprietor Marion - Gene’s daughter - and her husband Tony Durpetti; along with their daughter, Michelle Durpetti and spouse, Collin Pierson. Together with a loyal and dedicated staff, they proudly maintain the tradition that has defined Gene & Georgetti for more than eight decades. The team at Gene & Georgetti treats each and every guest like family. In fact, two of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, the Garbage Salad and Chicken Alla Joe, were both created by customer requests. The menu also features beautiful steaks, broiled to perfection until a delicious crust is formed, along with chops and classic Italian fare including Chicken Vesuvio, Veal Parmesan and more. Legends like Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, as well as modern day celebrities and politicians, have helped make Gene & Georgetti a classic place to dine in Chicago. The restaurant proudly boasts a legion of regular customers, some going back more than 50 years. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.geneandgeorgetti.com or call (312) 527-3718.
