Located next to St. Jane in the beautiful Carbide and Carbon Building and complete with lively bar and sun-soaked cafe, Free Rein offers a perfect gathering spot for locals and travelers alike in the heart of Chicago’s loop.
Free Rein will host multiple gathering spaces including a restaurant, bar, cafe and private dining room. Our Wood Grain Room is a private dining space within Free Rein, adorned by Chicago’s favorite local brewery barrels featuring a farm-style table for intimate gatherings. Wood Grain has a capacity of 12 seated and 20 reception style. It’s perfect for private dinners/luncheons and celebratory moments curated by our very own Free Rein team.
We also have a sun-soaked café at Free Rein that offers breakfast bites and gourmet coffee at street level of Michigan Avenue. Perfect for a quick stop to eat or to fuel up for the day, the space is designed to feel like you’re in a French café. The floor to ceiling windows and bar area creates a spirited scene from morning to night. Capacity of the café is 26 seated.
