Discoverers and Pioneers

Located on the northern pylons of the DuSable Bridge, The Discoverers and the Pioneers were carved by James Earle Fraser and were a gift from William Wrigley Jr..

The Discoverers depicts Louis Jolliet, Jacques Marquette, Rene Robert Cavelier, Sieur de LaSalle, and Henri de Tonti. The Pioneers depicts fur trader John Kinzie leading a group of settlers into Indian country.
