Make sure to adopt a duck for your chance to win the grand prize of a 2020 Chevy Equinox donated by the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers plus other fantastic prizes from the Chicago Blackhawks, The Magnificent Mile Association & more!
A signature fundraising event for Special Olympics Illinois and a truly unique Chicago event returns this summer!
Usually, thousands of spectators watch 60,000 yellow rubber ducks splash into the Chicago River in downtown Chicago and race down the river towards the finish line in person. This year we will not be congregating at the drop site, but everyone can still watch all the fun on www.chicagoduckyderby.com beginning with our virtual Family Festival at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
Make sure to adopt a duck for your chance to win the grand prize of a 2020 Chevy Equinox donated by the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers. Plus, other fantastic prizes from the Chicago Blackhawks, The Magnificent Mile Association and more. No need to be at the event in person to win!

Leading up to the Duck Derby, make sure to check out a special art exhibit, Ducks on The Mag Mile presented by Make Corporation, celebrating the power of what people, business, and community can achieve when we promote a unified world for Special Olympics Illinois athletes.
Highlighting this event will be 25 unique duck sculptures designed by various professional Chicago artists, some of which who have disabilities.
These sculptures will be placed along The Magnificent Mile, in the Streeterville, River North and Gold Coast neighborhoods from June through September.
