Amal takes a boat ride down the Chicago River as the sunsets. When her route is revealed, Chicago is invited to line the riverbanks to wave to her as she sails by.
On September 29, Chicago’s First Lady and the Chicago Architecture Center will host a larger-than-life art piece that is touring the world to celebrate the stories of refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers.
This fall, she will journey 6,000 miles across the United States in the “Amal Walks Across America” tour—one of the largest free public exhibits ever created.
