The Festival of Fine Arts is celebrating its 20th anniversary at The Art Center Highland Park. The festival will showcase the work of 125 juried artists from around the world in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, sculpture and more.
In addition to the incredible artwork available for purchase, attendees will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats.
“The Festival of Fine Arts is located in the heart of Highland Park, one of the North Shore’s most beautiful communities,” said Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions, producer of the Festival of Fine Arts. “With so many art lovers in the area and throughout the surrounding suburbs, Highland Park is a wonderful place for artists to exhibit and showcase their talent.”
The suggested entrance fee for the Festival of Fine Arts is $5, all of which goes back to The Art Center Highland Park. Festival-goers will enjoy great food from neighboring restaurants during the weekend-long festival. Attendees will also have the chance to interact with artists through live art demonstrations and booth chats.
Young art festival attendees are invited to visit the youth art area to participate in “Draw for the Troops,” a new program launched this year by Amdur Productions. Kids of all ages are welcome to color a special picture for the brave men and women serving our country. At the end of the show, the drawings will be sent by Amdur to the troops stationed in the U.S. and abroad. Kids will also enjoy art fest bingo, spin art, coloring and a graffiti wall.
“Festival-goers won’t want to miss this art fest, as it features incredible work in both functional and non-functional categories,” said Amdur. “Collectors, and those who simply have an appreciation for magnificent hand-made art, can find a variety of pieces to enjoy and purchase at this one-of-a-kind show."
