Compass to Care Childhood Cancer Foundation
Compass to Care, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, supports a child’s cancer journey by scheduling and paying for travel arrangements between his/her home and the hospital. Via our supporters’ generosity, we assume the responsibility for airfare, car rental, gasoline, lodging, meals, parking and taxi fees tolls in an effort to eliminate travel-related financial burdens, to decrease the challenge of traveling with a child who is ill and to give families ope for their child’s cure.

Friends of the Chicago River
Nestled inside the southwest tower of the Michigan Avenue Bridge, the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum shares the story of how the Chicago River changed with the growth of a city. Enter the five-story bridgehouse from the riverwalk level and discover why the river’s flow was reversed or how plant and animal species once nearly lost are now returning. You can also see the gears that open the landmark bridge.

Gilda’s Club Chicago
Behind a bright red door on North Wells Street is a very important community resource - Gilda’s Club Chicago. Named in honor of the late comedian Gilda Radner, Gilda’s Club Chicago is a warm and welcoming place where men, women, and children with cancer and their families and friends join with others – free of charge – to build social, emotional and informational support as a supplement to their medical treatment and care.
