Kamp Gallery in the Drake Hotel Arcade (140 E. Walton Place) will exhibit 15 new acquisitions of historical Midwestern artists circa 1890-1940 obtained from private collections, most not shown publicly for nearly a century.
Artists highlighted in the exhibit, which is on display at Kamp's Winnetka Gallery until April 30, are G.A. Aldrich, C.E. Browne, E. Chapin, P. Cornoyer, C. Dahlgren, F. Grant, L. Grell, A. Jansson, C. Krafft, S.Ostrowsky, T. Ponsen, E. Thulin and F. Peyraud – all enhanced by handsome period frames.
Kamp Gallery in the Drake Hotel Arcade is open 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday; by appointment Sunday and Monday. "Chicago Artists We Love" begins a two-month run from May 2 through June 30. An opening reception for the public will be held from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 3.
