SUMMER

Gardens of The Magnificent Mile

June - September 2009- Free & Open to the Public
The Magnificent Mile celebrates harmony with the environment all summer long with a summer concert series among beautiful blooming gardens.  Green-themed special offers are found in area retailers, hotels, restaurants and spas.  Green initiatives within neighborhood businesses, downloadable walking maps, information about the plantings in the garden beds, tips on how to care for trees, and more are all available for download.

FALL

The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival presented by Harris

Saturday, November 21, 2009 - Free & Open to the Public
For more than 40 years, the trees along North Michigan Avenue have been illuminated to signal the official start of the holiday season in Chicago. The festive processional lighting of more than one million lights along North Michigan Avenue is followed by a spectacular fireworks show over the Chicago River.  Enjoy a host of holiday experiences and shopping all day along Chicago 's Magnificent Mile and throughout the holiday season.

WINTER

TOAST on The Magnificent Mile

February, 2009 - Free & Open to the Public
The Magnificent Mile is bringing luxury champagne to our district for a month of celebrating life's moments. Weekly fireworks displays every Saturday in February along with special deals at participating businesses.

Tulips on The Magnificent Mile

April 1 – May 31, 2009 - Free & Open to the Public
This spring, The Magnificent Mile welcomes the bloom of hundreds of thousands of vibrant tulips in partnership with world-class Chicago architects.  The display of public art within the garden beds celebrates a City Beautiful - an urban streetscape infused with natural beauty.

Enjoy a stroll through the fabulous gardens during a day of shopping or take advantage of magnificent special offers in hotels, restaurants, spas and other attractions on one of the great avenues of the world.
